Mark Hendricks

VP of Techical Development

 
Mark Hendricks began doing general gunsmithing in the early 1980’s providing services to retail stores and quail hunting plantations in South Georgia.  By 1990, full custom rifles were the mainstay of his business and he customers throughout the US.  Specialized safari rifles in calibers 375, 416 and 458 were the norm, although a fair number of deer, elk and varmint rifles also went out the door.  Mark’s shop was one of the first custom gun shops to specialize in fiberglass stocks, weather proof finishes, “scout rifles” and other modern departures from the traditional “wood and walnut” guns of the past.   In 1997 Mark joined the Technical Department at Brownells, Inc where he advised customers and other gunsmiths on tools and techniques, did technical writing, and developed new products for the Brownells catalog.  In 2001 Mark returned home to Georgia and soon after landed a job as a Customer Service Rep with BPI Outdoors.  As BPI grew and diversified, Mark moved into his current role as VP of Technical Development.   In this role he oversees the develop new products and quality control for all of BPI’s gun brands – including Bergara Custom Rifles.
